With this unit you can get your ironing done in less than half the time of traditional irons that rely solely on heat with their steaming functions just an add on. What sets this iron apart is that it comes equiped with a steam generator that will provide endless amounts of steam. There is a separate base that pressurizes steam and feeds it into the unit through a 6 foot steam cord. The simple to access handle allows you to just point and click and deliver the steam. This pressurized steam will penetrate much deaper into your garments allowing those wrinkles to be released in record time. The powerful vertical steaming feature will allow you to iron any of your upright hanging garments or curtains without having to sacrifice any functionality or leaks. The variable steam control will allow you to adjust settings on the fly for any time of fabric you come in contact with. With the 33 oz steam generator you will be able to run the Rowenta DG5030 for more than 1 1/2 hours before you even have to think about checking out to see if you need to add more water to it. The only complaint I could see about this unit is that it doesn't have a water level indicator installed on the steamer. You need to check around 1 1/2 hours to make sure that you aren't running on empty. And with how effective the forced steam is on this unit you will be pushing that steam trigger all day long! This unit is great for anyone who is constantly finding themselves ironing clothes with more wrinkles than they care to think about. Any garment or fabric that you have that has deep wrinkles that you don't think could possibly ever be removed will meet their match when they see the steam technology on the Rowenta DG5030. |
